TRANSLATED CITY

My newest project, currently in-progress.

TRANSLATED CITY is an experimental music-theater piece, in the form of an ever-changing evening of semi-improvised stories about people sharing a rent-stabilized apartment building. Performed by virtuoso downtown storyteller luminaries and a killer ambient-electro-jazz band, TRANSLATED CITY explores themes of translation, voyeurism vs. neighborly compassion, and the strata of NYC’s global migration histories.
